Los Angeles—Digital ad technology company Rubicon Project has acquired mobile ad platform Mobsmith. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Mobsmith's mobile solution allows publishers to directly sell their mobile Web and in-app ad inventory on mobile devices. The technology will be combined with Rubicon's REVV real-time platform for the buying and selling of display and mobile ad inventory, Rubicon said in a statement.
As part of the transaction, Mobsmith's San Francisco headquarters will become a Rubicon office.
