Sagent lands eFinance as customer

Published on .

Sagent Technology Inc., Mountain View, Calif., said Monday that it has landed eFinance Corp. as a customer. Sagent will deliver services that verify the accuracy of data being entered by b-to-b customers on the eFinance site. The information will be checked in real time against registration data being provided by small-business owners. The move is significant because Sagent is trying to get traction for its services, which allow marketers to check census-level data against customer entries on the Internet. Before the Internet, Sagent could only provide such data in very large computer files or CD-ROM. It has acquired technology companies and upgraded its own systems to allow similar data to be delivered instantaneously about a single business or consumer. eFinance is a buying community aimed at small-business owners, which provides pricing and financing for business purchases.®MDNM¯
