Sale of 'Hollywood Reporter' anticipated in December

By Published on .

New York—Nielsen Business Media appears set to sell several properties, including The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard, to News Communications, according to a report by TheWrap.com.

An online report posted Monday at paidcontent.org said Quayle Munro is handling the potential sale for Nielsen. John Wickersham, who used to oversee these properties at VNU and now works at Quayle Munro, declined to comment.

Nielsen Business Media also declined to comment, and James A. Finkelstein, CEO of News Communications, did not return a call requesting comment.

A source, however, did confirm that Nielsen is in discussions to sell at least one of its other trade publications.
