San Francisco—Salesforce.com Inc. has acquired business intelligence and analytics company EdgeSpring. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
EdgeSpring, after a two-year development phase, was fully launched in May. Its technology helps build analytics applications for business intelligence data such as sales and financial performance. Clients include lead-generation software company Demandbase Inc. and Pandora Radio.
The acquisition is expected to fill out Salesforce's marketing capabilities, built through such acquisitions as ExactTarget Inc.
