San Francisco—Customer relationship management company Salesforce.com has acquired the cloud services company Assistly. The price was approximately $50 million.
Assistly allows marketers to interact with consumers in real time, via telephone, Internet chat, email and social media.
Salesforce has in recent months moved far beyond
its original CRM roots, acquiring
social measurement company Radian6 and crowd-sourced data company Jigsaw,
among other moves.
