San Francisco—Salesforce.com Inc. has launched a Web-based, self-serve advertising application that enables marketers to create and automate social ad campaigns.
Social.com uses customer and social sentiment data to create targeted ads on Facebook or Twitter. The platform also tests different combinations of social ads based on audience engagement and allows for ad optimization, the company said.
Social.com integrates with Salesforce's Sales Cloud CRM system, as well as its existing social media marketing solutions that analyze and manage organic social postings. Those include Salesforce's Radian6 listening tool and social media publishing tools from Buddy Media, which Salesforce acquired last year.
