Salesforce.com, Google form alliance

San Francisco—Salesforce.com announced Tuesday it has formed a strategic global alliance with Google and introduced a new product: Salesforce Group Edition featuring Google AdWords.

The product combines salesforce.com’s on-demand CRM applications with the AdWords platform to help marketers integrate marketing and sales.

“Now there is a single online destination for businesses of all sizes to attract and acquire new customers, while closely tracking the return on their valuable marketing dollars,” said Sheryl Sandberg, VP-global online sales and operations at Google, in a statement.

The alliance is across 43 countries and encompasses distribution, technology and co-marketing efforts.
