San Francisco—Salesforce.com Inc. is planning to integrate human relations and collaboration applications into its central customer relationship management program. The move is intended to boost motivation and sales coaching, the company said.
The initiative will combine Salesforce's core CRM application, Sales Cloud, with its recently launched Work.com human relations solution and its Chatter collaboration program. The integration will enable sales teams to view within Sales Cloud colleagues' expertise, goals and performance via assessments presented through Work.com, the company said.
Also visible within the central CRM system will be other salespeople's goals via Chatter. The integration will give managers a means of providing quick feedback, coaching and recognition to salespeople who are doing well, Salesforce said.
The tools will be available in the first half of 2013, the company said.
