Scottsdale, Ariz.--SalesLogix Corp. announced Tuesday it plans to launch a portal for business-to-business salespeople, just as established competitor Salesforce.com added a CEO and $17 million in venture funding. Called interact.com, SalesLogix's site will be a $19.95 monthly subscription service that provides salespeople with information, community services and remote updates of sales force software, such as Symantec Corp.'s Act! contact manager and SalesLogix's customer relationship management software. Meanwhile, Salesforce.com, San Francisco, hired former Hyperion Solutions executive John Dillon as its CEO and announced that $17 million in venture funding has been raised. Both sites target the estimated 42 million sales professionals in the U.S.
