SAP plans global services wing

Published on .

Walldorf, Germany--Enterprise software developer SAP AG said Wednesday it has formed a global professional services business. The move will create controversy since SAP typically relies on third-party global professional services companies to get its software up-and-running at client sites. While SAP sales will continue to refer clients to third-party consultants, its global professional services arm will provide ideas and technical software to companies that are increasing their use of Web applications. The company brands its new applications for the Internet as mySap.com.
