SAP wins another market deal

Palo Alto, Calif.--SAPMarkets Inc., the U.S. e-marketplace unit of the German technology giant, Tuesday won a deal to build a Net market for two large global engineering companies. The partnership, a joint venture with MG Technologies AG and Babcock-Borsig AG, will be called Ec4ec, or Electronic Commerce for Engineered Components. The site will not only let engineering companies buy catalog items but will provide a platform for collaborative engineering, the companies said.
