Saqqara,Tibco tap RosettaNet

Published on .

San Jose--Saqqara Systems Inc. and Tibco Software Inc., Palo Alto, Calif., said they have entered into a strategic alliance to jointly market catalog and collaboration software that makes use of the computer industry's RosettaNet computer language. The move marks one of the first commercially released software packages that uses RosettaNet, which is common product codes and descriptions for high-tech products--a key to creating real-time supply chain data across multiple trading partners. The high-tech industry's efforts to deploy a real-time supply chain based on RosettaNet are being closely watched by executives in other vertical industries, also interested in using the Web to create reactive supply chains.
