Schwab to market Internet roadshows to independent adviser firms

San Francisco--Charles Schwab & Co. will begin marketing Internet roadshows to its independent adviser firm customers. The brokerage giant's plans come after a recent "no action letter" from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that gave Schwab the green light to offer Net roadshows to advisers and high-net-worth retail customers. Within the last two years, Internet roadshows by companies planning initial public offerings have become increasingly popular with institutional investors. Until now, access to these roadshows by adviser firms and retail investors has been limited.
