Schwab taps Visa exec as head of global brand management

San Francisco--Charles Schwab & Co., the world's largest discount brokerage, has named Jan Soderstrom as its senior VP-global brand management. Previously, Ms. Soderstrom was head of global branding and partnership marketing at Visa International, Miami. She will oversee all of Charles Schwab & Co.'s divisions' off-line and online global branding efforts. Schwab Institutional, which serves financial adviser firms, owns 77% of the marketplace.
