Search campaigns, email marketing deliver top ROI

New York—Organic search campaigns, email marketing and paid search are considered the top channels for delivering strong returns on investment, according to a new study by market researcher Econsultancy. According to the company's “Email Marketing Industry Census 2013,” sponsored by email marketing company Adestra, 75% of marketers said that search engine optimization (SEO) campaigns produce “good” or “excellent” ROI. Email was rated second, with a 68% positive response, and paid search, 59%. Econsultancy's study was based on an online poll in January and February of 1,329 marketers from the company's client base, as well as email service providers and agencies.
