SearchChannel, Slack Barshinger release report on the future of b-to-b search

Chicago—B-to-b marketing companies SearchChannel and Slack Barshinger Tuesday released a white paper that explores the emergence of vertical search engines and other targeted business advertising opportunities. The 24-page paper, “The Emerging Opportunity in Vertical Search,” surveys the current vertical search landscape in the U.S. and profiles 30 vertical search engines and directory companies across a dozen industries. “Vertical search is the next progressive step in the world of search engine marketing,” said Rich Dettmer, senior VP-director of digital strategy at Slack Barshinger, in a news release. “More and more clients are asking for opportunities in vertical search environments, as it is a cost-effective marketing tool that delivers accurate information in a convenient way to users.”
