The Center for Exhibition Industry Research has released an exhibition industry-specific Return on Investment Tool Kit. It was created in concert with Exhibit Surveys, the International Association of Exhibitions and Events and the Professional Convention Management Association. It is designed to assist exhibiting companies in measuring performance and outcomes from trade shows and events.
Unicast unveils 3D hologram technology for marketers
Unicast, a division of Enliven Marketing Technologies, announced the introduction of Unicast Fusion3D, a new digital marketing technology that allows marketers to project 3D hologram images as part of their real-time and event marketing efforts. Fusion3D content can include dynamic animated holograms, 3D objects and live performers, which can interact with one another.
CMP buys Mass Events Labs for $1.2 million
Technology publisher CMP announced that it has acquired Mass Events Labs, a producer of "unconference-style and custom events," for $1.2 million. Mass Events Labs produces events such as Mashup Camp, in which next-generation developers decide which application program interfaces to develop and which platforms will succeed online. It will join CMP's Business Technology Group, which includes such events as BlackHat, Enterprise 2.0, Interop, Web 2.0 and VoiceCon.
Freeman, BDMetrics join to enhance events with online
Freeman, an event marketing company, and BDMetrics, which provides Web-based personalization technology, announced a strategic partnership that will enable show organizers to enhance live, face-to-face events with online media. For example, attendees can receive personalized agendas mapped to their needs, including their own personal "walking map" of the show before they arrive. Exhibitors are also able to reach attendees who have a special interest in their products and services.
