Producer comment: “We've established ourselves as a premiere show,” said Adam Anderson, director of the event. “[Exhibitors] can see vendors from all over North America and make the deals they need to make.”
Exhibitor comment: “We're really cutting our budget, but the West is the show,” said longtime exhibitor Michael Season, president of Natural Snacks. “From a retailer's standpoint, if you only can choose one show, you're going to go to that show. From an exhibitor's standpoint, same thing. You may get the most bang for your buck at that show.”
Breakdown: The show saw attendance climb by more than 5% as it marked its 30th anniversary this year. The number of exhibitors rose by almost 5% as well, and a record number of new companies found their way to the trade show floor. A pavilion focusing on natural home and lifestyle products doubled in size, reflecting consumer interest in this growing sector. Organizers attributed the success to the strength of the natural products industry and the show's reputation for bringing together stakeholders from all facets of the industry. The event is also collocated with Fresh Ideas Organic Marketplace, Healthy Baking Seminar and Nutracon.
