Producer comment: "We're seeing a lot of first-time attendees," said Mindy Wiener, director of operations for Pool, which this year crossed town to a tent location adjacent to the LVCC. "We were listening to our buyers' requests. Everyone was asking for a more convenient location."
Exhibitor comment: "Pool single-handedly helped launch tokidoki because of the amount of key buyers at the show," said Ivan Arnold, president of the Los Angeles-based design and apparel company, a five-time Pool exhibitor. The company this year saw business volume at the show double. "There were more buyers than there had ever been. It was more diversified and had a lot more to offer."
Breakdown: Pool continues to market new brands, this year increasing traffic by moving its venue closer to the Women's Wear Daily Magic show taking place at the LVCC. The new tent structure provided more net square footage and supported the show's indie vibe.
