Responses for the Marketing Shoot-out are drawn from members of CLT Research's WebScore panel, a national panel of more than 1,000 online consumers used for gathering insights and competitive intelligence about Web sites.

CLT recruits its panelists through advertising on various Web sites as well as the CLT Web site. New members are added to the panel every day, making it possible to target markets with increasing precision.

After receiving applications, CLT qualifies each WebScore panelist by telephone to ensure suitability. Panelists display varying degrees of Web and computer use experience and represent a broad spectrum of demographic backgrounds.

CLT opens each month's Marketing Shoot-out to some 50 to 60 panelists, who compare the Web sites and situation supplied by NetMarketing.
