Siebel Systems puts more emphasis on SMB market

San Francisco—CRM software provider Siebel Systems announced Tuesday that it has launched a strategy to promote its products to small and medium-sized businesses.

As part of this effort, Siebel has partnered with IBM, which has incorporated Siebel CRM OnDemand into its hosting services that specifically target SMBs.

In addition, IBM and Siebel are jointly offering the solution to IBM business partners. Other new SMB channel partners include Clear-to-Close, eVerge Group, FMT Consultants, Le Groupe SCI and Tier1 Innovation in North America; Axias NV, EDB Gruppen, Elsis, Escador, Evosoft and OCB in Europe; and BD Consultore and Innovatica in Latin America.

As part of its new strategy, Siebel has created a global sales organization that will focus exclusively on SMBs, which it defines as companies with annual revenue less than $500 million. This organization will include a co-op marketing fund and marketing programs for use by its partners.
