Munich--E-business software giant Siemens AG plans to cut 2,000 jobs. The layoffs, coming mostly in its German consulting unit, follow 8,100 job cuts made in its telecom and information units earlier this year. The company cited the softening IT purchasing environment for the job cuts. Siemens has 430,000 employees. The company is an active player in the U.S. b-to-b and CRM spaces.
