Silverpop announced it will launch SafeSender to give companies an automated comprehensive solution to CAN-SPAM compliance issues. The news was announced Monday at the 87th Annual Direct Marketing Association Annual Conference in New Orleans.
A little more than half (57%) of Fortune 1,000 marketers have comprehensive internal regulations in place to address the compliance issue, according to a study via e-mail service provider Silverpop.
SafeSender includes synchronization of suppression files, viral marketing suppression capabilities, predefined CAN-SPAM compliance statements for messages sent and an opt-out audit that assures if a message’s opt-out link is missing, the message will not be transmitted.
Clients will not pay extra for the SafeSender service. "Compliance with the law should not cost extra," said Elaine O’Gorman, VP-strategy at Silverpop.
