Silverpop updates PlacePunch geo-marketing service

Atlanta—Online marketing company Silverpop has updated its location-based marketing service PlacePunch with a new sweepstakes feature and loyalty program enhancements. PlacePunch, acquired by Silverpop in October, enables check-ins across various social networks and offers rewards programs and contests. With its new sweepstakes feature, each time a customer or prospect checks in to a location on Facebook or Foursquare, they can be automatically entered to win a prize, according to Silverpop. In addition, PlacePunch also now includes expanded options for customizing the appearance of loyalty programs and local offers; enhanced location-based targeting options; and more robust reporting, the company said.
