Blogger Jay Baer makes note of several recent posts and predictions, most notably this one
by HootSuite Media CEO Ryan Holmes, predicting that the rise of social networking and collaboration will cause a decline in the volume of email this year. Well, Baer ain't buying it. In his latest video blog The Baer Facts, which he posts for (conflict-of-interest warning ahead) email marketing company ExactTarget Inc., Baer calls email the “hot trigger” that fuels social, and the conduit for page views and traffic. Email volume, he says, will rise as social use increases.
