London—The Financial Times announced Thursday that it has named Andrew Sollinger as managing director of the newspaper’s U.S. commercial operations.

Those operations include the Financial Times and Money-Media, a U.S.-based online news organization that the company acquired last January. Sollinger, a former Thomson Media executive, was managing director of Money-Media.

As a result of the reorganization, Steve Howe, president of Financial Times’ U.S. operations, is leaving the company.
