Source Media to restructure editorial

Published on .

New York—Source Media, publisher of American Banker, confirmed Wednesday that it is restructuring its editorial and dividing its publications, Web sites and events into four groups: banking, capital markets, professional services and technology.

In line with the change, Source Media has named David Longobardi, American Banker editor in chief, exec VP-chief content officer. Each of the four groups will also have an editorial director. Each Source Media magazine will continue to have its own dedicated editorial team, according to Anne O’Brien, exec VP-marketing and strategic planning. The editorial directors will help oversee the process of sharing content among the groups and between individual magazines.

O’Brien also confirmed that Source Media has eliminated 20 positions—none of them in editorial.
