New York—SourceMedia, publisher of American Banker, announced a multimillion-dollar plan to expand its Digital Operations Group. Under the plan, which will include hiring 11 employees, SourceMedia intends to strengthen its interactive marketing services, such as lead generation, and to boost engagement on its digital platforms by integrating data, social media and rich media on its websites.
Among the new positions being created is an exec VP-digital strategy, who will lead the group and report to SourceMedia CEO Doug Manoni. While SourceMedia searches for a person to fill this role, Sal Fuentes, CEO of Decision Counsel, a digital marketing company that is working with SourceMedia, will handle those duties.
In an interview with BtoB, Manoni said that SourceMedia has seen its digital revenue increase by 30% through the first five months of this year compared with the same period last year.
