SourceMedia revamps 'American Banker'

New York—SourceMedia has launched a new American Banker media platform, which revamps the brand on the Web, in print and for tablet subscribers. The AmericanBanker.com site now incorporates editorial from all SourceMedia's banking brands, including Bank Technology News. It also includes a breaking news feed, rich media, bank management reports, a new suite of social media and other digital tools. On Aug. 1, American Banker plans to release apps for the iPad and Android-based tablets. Additionally, SourceMedia has reworked its approach to print. American Banker will remain a daily newspaper, and the monthly U.S. Banker will be rebranded as American Banker Magazine with the same frequency and deeper feature coverage. Monthly Bank Technology News will increase its focus on financial institution case studies.
