Encino, Calif.—Spectaris, an Internet technology company, announced Monday that it has launched SendPlus, an anti-spam software application. The SendPlus service is based on a “challenge-response” system that can determine whether senders are legitimate by requesting that they verify themselves one time in order for the e-mail to be delivered. SendPlus is offered to users as a free, advertiser-supported version; a premium ad-free version will be available beginning next month.
