New York—Humana Press, which publishes medical and scientific books and journals, on Wednesday debuted its new Web site (www.springer.com/humana). The Web site contains the full Humana Press catalog as well as the Springer portfolio of scientific and specialist literature. The home page includes featured titles, a conference schedule link and links to its three new free open access journals which will be launched in this year. The journals are: “The Protein Zone,” which highlights recent publications related to proteins; “Services for Authors,” which offers tips on book promotion and other useful topics; and “Select Your Subdiscipline,” a drop-down menu featuring 32 areas of interest such as “News and Highlights,” “Electronic Products” and “Our Journal Collection.”

Links to full text from Humana Press books and journals are available on SpringerLink (www.springerlink.com), along with more than 1,500 peer-reviewed Springer journals and more than 22,000 e-Books.

Humana was acquired for an undisclosed sum by Springer Science+Business Media in September 2006.
