Standard Register sells equipment service business to Pitney Bowes

Dayton, Ohio—Standard Register announced it has signed an agreement to sell certain assets and transfer selected accrued liabilities of its equipment service business to Pitney Bowes for about $17 million in cash. The company services printers and other document handling devices for about 7,000 customers. Under the agreement, Pitney Bowes will offer jobs to all of Standard Register’s equipment service associates, which number about 200.
