Published on .

Framingham, Mass.--Staples, embroiled in a slugfest for dominance in the office supplies category on the Internet, said Tuesday that Robert Moore has been named exec VP of marketing. Formerly global VP of strategy and marketing for Bausch & Lomb's sunglasses division, Mr. Moore takes over all strategic and financial aspects of TV, print, radio, direct mail and special programs for the $7 billion office supply company. Mr. Moore succeeds Jeanne Lewis, who recently was named president of Staples.com. Mr. Moore's appointment follows by one day the launch of Staple's intranet service HotOffice Technologies.
