Staples opens review for b-to-b ad effort

Framingham, Mass.--Office supply retailer Staples Inc. said it is initiating a review for its advertising account, with particular emphasis on b-to-b. The incumbent, Cliff Freeman & Partners, declined to participate, according to a Staples spokesperson. Staples has hired Select Resources International, West Hollywood, Calif., to handle the review, and approximately 20 agencies have been contacted.
