Sterling Commerce to acquire Comergent Technologies

Dublin, Ohio—Sterling Commerce, an AT&T company, announced plans to acquire Comergent Technologies for $155 million in cash.

Under the terms of the deal, Sterling Commerce plans to incorporate Comergent’s eBusiness software into its order fulfillment product line.

Comergent is headquartered in Redwood City, Calif. Its clients include Gates Corp., Goodrich Corp. and NEC Corp.

Once the deal is closed, Sterling will continue to sell and support Comergent’s products.
