Strata survey finds business improving at media agencies

Chicago—Business improved during the second quarter for 52.0% of media buying agencies, compared with the year-earlier period, according to a report from Strata, which provides media buying and selling software. The study was based on an online survey of more than 100 media agencies conducted in the third quarter. Forty percent of agencies said they expect business to grow in the second half of the year, while only 6.6% said they expect to see a decrease in business. The survey also found that 87.3% of advertisers used Facebook in the second quarter, 79.0% used display advertising and 43.0% used spot TV in their ad campaigns.
