Strong to make first institutional Net marketing push

Milwaukee--Strong Capital Management within the next year will launch its first marketing Web site aimed at institutional investors, said Byron Vielehr, head of electronic commerce at the $30 billion mutual fund company. The Internet, in part because of its ability to display information-rich material, will offer Strong a viable way to present the ``intellectual capital of the firm'' to sophisticated institutional investors, said Mr. Vielehr. The site's content is under development, and Mr. Vielehr said he could not provide details, citing early planning stages.
