Redwood City, Calif.—StrongMail, a provider of email marketing and cross-channel marketing offerings to enterprises, has appointed Jeremy Sterns as chief technology office, a new position. In his new role, Sterns will guide the rollout of a new marketing analytics platform. Sterns was previously CTO of Genesis Media, a provider of a video broadcast platform for advertisers. He began working with StrongMail on the analytics platform last year, the company said. “Bringing Jeremy on as our full-time CTO will allow us to bring this product to market much sooner than originally anticipated,” said Bill Wagner, CEO of StrongMail, in a release. “As enterprises increase their use of data, conduct more marketing analytics and implement more program automation, traditional ESP systems built five or more years ago will be rendered useless for large scale marketers.”
