Study: Business Internet sites abusing privacy boundaries

Washington--A new study released by Clicksure reveals that commercial Web sites are overstepping their customers' privacy boundaries. Forty-four percent of commercial Internet sites ask that users forward information not pertinent to their purchases, according to the study, ``Discovery snapshot Web site review.'' Clicksure's findings come as privacy issues are becoming central to b-to-b executives, many of whom fret that Congress will begin legislating the space.
