Study: Coke, Hyundai, HP gain high Facebook engagement

San Diego—Coca-Cola Co. enjoys the highest Facebook engagement of any company, with some 34 million fans actively interacting with the brand, according to a new study by search marketing services company Covario Inc. Coke earned a perfect score of 100 in the Covario study, ”Does Facebook Like Your Brand?” based on a Covario formula comprising reach, engagement, technical construction of the Facebook page and reputation. The company was followed by automaker Hyundai Motor Co. (98), MTV Networks (88), Walt Disney Co. (76) and Bayer (73). B-to-b companies that scored highly in the Covario Facebook study included Hewlett-Packard Co. (71), AT&T Inc. (52), Dell Inc. and IBM Corp. (both at 51).
