Newton, Mass.--The results of a new white paper put out by Cahners In-Stat Group, the technology research unit of Cahners Business Information, show that application service providers (ASPs) are fumbling in their attempts to serve small businesses on Internet-related ventures. The paper asserts that ASPs are unfocused in their service of small businesses, despite the fact that opportunities abound. A large percentage of small companies are looking to outsource all of their Net information infrastructure, and small businesses will look to provide some 34 million employees with Web access by 2003, according to Cahners In-Stat.
