Study: Private trading networks about to take off

Boston--Jupiter Media Metrix Inc. reported on Wednesday that 26% of b-to-b executives said they would add features to their private trading networks within the next year. The new features will allow companies to facilitate collaborative online activities, including inventory level monitoring and product design. An additional study released by Jupiter today at the Ground Zero 5 conference in Boston found that collaborative applications to private trading networks will outpace those of transaction-focused enhancements, with only 20% of b-to-b executives indicating they will focus on procurement features.
