Boca Raton, Fla.—Rental prices of sales contact lists continue to decline, with steep drops coming in permission-based b-to-b email lists, according to the “Winter 2012 List Price Index” from list management company Worldata. Small-business email databases averaged $143 per thousand contacts, a 12.3% drop from $163 in the year-earlier period. Email lists of contacts at midsize and large companies fell from $280 to $251 per thousand names, down 10.4%. Aggregated business postal databases were off overall by 14.9% to $80 from the year-earlier $94. Some price steadiness was experienced in postal subscriber lists of controlled- and paid-circulation business magazines and business merchandise buyers, with relatively flat prices from the year-earlier period.
