Peterborough, N.H.--Business-to-business companies that market online attribute one in six dollars of total business revenue to their Internet presence, according to a new study, "The Real Numbers Behind the Online Business-to-Business Industry." Completed by ActivMedia, the study also found that a majority (59%) of b-to-b marketers engage in genuine electronic commerce, conducting sales online. Only 8% of b-to-b marketers, however, are solely online businesses. The study also found that 41% of b-to-b Web sites are solely dedicated to marketing support for off-line channels.
