Sulzberger affirms pay wall plans for NYTimes.com

London—New York Times Co. Chairman Arthur Sulzberger said Wednesday the company still plans to install a metered pay wall on the NYTimes.com website “very soon," according to various media outlets. The remarks were made during the Financial Times Digital Media Conference in London.

The metered model has been pioneered successfully by the Financial Times. Sulzberger also said that the The New York Times will begin to charge for its iPad app.
