Sun to manage brand on Internet

Cupertino, Calif.--Sun Microsystems, Palo Alto, Calif., said late Thursday that it will use the Internet to manage its brand. The computer giant has tapped a service from Magnifi.net, Cupertino, Calif., that will make its market research available to advertising agencies and marketing executives in all world markets. Sun will upload all its creative advertising materials, as well as marketing-department collaboration applications, on Magnifi.net's secure site. Other Magnifi.net clients include E*Trade, TBWA/Chiat/Day and Americast.
