Rosemont, Ill.--Comdisco Inc., the computer leasing company, on Friday said it would sell its technology services business to SunGard Data Systems Inc. for $825 million, after SunGard topped an earlier offer by Hewlett-Packard Co. The deal for the services business, which helps companies do back-ups and prepare for potential disasters, is subject to approval by U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Illinois. Comdisco, which has struggled with investment losses, filed for bankruptcy protection in July and said then that it would sell its services business to HP for $610 million in cash. In early morning trading on the New York Stock Exchange, shares of Comdisco were trading at 85 cents, up 5 cents from Thursday's close. Shares of Sungard were trading at $23.60, down 36 cents from Thursday's close.
