Published on .

San Francisco--At least 210 Web start-ups closed in 2000, according to recent information supplied by Webmergers.com. About 15,000 employees lost their jobs at those shuttered companies, which include b-to-b start-ups such as BizBuyer.com and M-xchange.com. About 30% of the companies that folded were content-oriented. The remaining were e-commerce, infrastructure, consulting and online service companies.
