Survey finds 63% of direct marketers plan to add staff

Published on .

Owatonna, Minn.--Direct marketers plan fewer layoffs this quarter and many plan to hire employees, according to an employment survey report released Tuesday by Bernhart Associates Executive Search.

Sixty-three percent of companies surveyed said they planned to add staff. The majority of those are new positions rather than replacements.

Only 5% said they planned layoffs this quarter, compared with 12% during the same period last year, and 10% said there is a possibility they may cut staff.
