Survey finds many businesses flop in answering weekend e-mail

Boston--Results from a recent spot-test survey by The Yankee Group showed that most businesses flopped when it came to responding to weekend e-mail inquiries. Only 60% of the businesses contacted on a summer Sunday responded within 48 hours, and 50% of the businesses that did return e-mails did so with incorrect information. Among the businesses contacted was Fidelity Investments, Boston, which was among the highest-scoring companies in terms of promptness and accuracy.
